As we move into the 2025 year, there are a few important/upcoming events that we would like to highlight.
1. The Instructor eCard Order Service migration:
The process used from Instructors to order ecards changed in November of 2024 to The ERTSS Instructor eCard Store. This process has replaced the old eCard Order Form that we used through most of 2024. The eCard Order Service has refined the process/efficiency and provides Instructors with historical data regarding their eCard orders for those instructors who issue eCards directly to their students.
The Online Roster remains active for those instructors who wish to have ERTSS issue eCards to the students for the instructor.
2. ERTSS also have a refined course registration process for individuals who are seeking AHA certification for Heartsaver, BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS and all Instructor Courses.
3. There is an improved registration/scheduling tool for those who have completed the HeartCode Online portion of the AHA Blended learning courses and need the Hands On Skills testing to complete their certification.
4. February is American Heart Association Heart Month:
American Heart Month is celebrated in February each year to raise awareness about heart disease and how to prevent it. The American Heart Association (AHA) and other organizations lead the effort to promote heart health during this time.
5. ERTSS Instructor Updates:
ERTSS affiliated AHA Instructors will need to complete the ERTSS Instructor Update process to renew their AHA Instructor certification. The ERTSS Instructor Update must be completed to renew for the next two (2) year instructor cycle. Required components of this update is documentation of at least four (4) teaching credits as lead or assisting instructor since July 1st, 2023. 6. New 2025 AHA Guidelines Release:
The American Heart Association will release the New 2025 ECC Guidelines in the Fall of 2025. More information will follow from the AHA as this event gets closer.
